Mate's TableFood tips and first-hand experience from the people who know.
Choosing accommodation and transport around Melbourne Airport.
Check the airport map for the current 901 stop and follow the signed pedestrian route from T1. Allow time for the walk and for finding the stop rather than treating the terminal as the bus platform.
Choose by door-to-door effort, not only ticket price. After a late arrival, a transfer involving extra tram rides and luggage may cost more time than it saves.
Check which terminal you use and the hotel-to-terminal route, not just the distance on a map. A walk, shuttle or taxi can each be reasonable, but the service must operate at your departure time.
