Should a family drive Adelaide to Melbourne via the Great Ocean Road in a car or campervan?

Choose the vehicle everyone can use comfortably on long driving days, with safe child restraints and enough luggage space.

Check legal overnight locations and campground bookings; having a campervan does not mean free camping is available everywhere.

Price a car plus family rooms against campervan hire, fuel, powered sites and one-way fees for the same dates.
