An overnight trip gives you room for beach towns, walks and unplanned stops. If you drive, allow for winding roads and do not treat the Twelve Apostles as a quick return trip from the CBD.

Should I see the Great Ocean Road on a day tour or stay overnight?
I would like to see the coast and the Twelve Apostles from Melbourne, but I am unsure whether a one-day trip will feel too rushed.
