Captain Kitchen skips processed mince rolls entirely, carving real seasoned lamb and chicken fillets over crisp chips and warm bread. Regulars prize the rare twin menu: traditional fish and chips on one side, flame-charred Adana kebabs and loaded HSPs on the other. House-cut potato cakes arrive golden and fluffy rather than straight from a freezer bag. Sit down at one of the small tables and you might be handed cold bottled water and a wedge of complimentary cake.
