About The Mex

An Ocean Grove institution for casual coastal dinners, The Mex serves hearty Tex-Mex classics beside a crackling open fireplace. The room hums with family gatherings and locals unwinding over frozen margaritas, share plates of chicken fajitas, and birria tacos. Prams slide easily into the spacious seating, and children get straight to work on table colouring sheets. The kitchen accommodates with a dedicated coeliac menu, dishing up everything from loaded burrito bowls to crisp churros with salted caramel.

  • Open Hearth Warmth: A wood-burning open fireplace warms the dining room during chilly Bellarine coastal evenings.
  • Family & Dietary Friendly: Includes a separate dedicated coeliac menu, colouring sheets for kids, and sombreros for celebrations.
