Melbourne · Where to Stay in Melbourne

Should a first-time Melbourne visitor stay in the CBD or near the airport?

Our short birthday trip is mainly for shopping, markets, museums and dinner rather than an early flight.

If you plan a major mall outing, make it one dedicated trip rather than choosing every night's accommodation around it. Check the airport transfer only for arrival and departure.
