About Chowon

Chowon delivers omakase-caliber sushi and charcoal-fired Japanese dishes in Kew without the fine-dining bill shock. Guests start with warm oshibori towels and green tea before watching chefs slice kingfish sashimi right across the counter. Regulars lean hard into the sharing platters, crispy panko-crusted pork tenderloin katsu, and smoky wok-charred broccoli pods.

  • Oshibori welcome: Arrivals are welcomed with hot tea and warm hand towels before dining begins.
  • Counterside knife work: Chefs slice fresh kingfish and assemble signature sushi directly across the counter.
  • Charcoal-grilled greens: Edamame and tender broccoli get finished over charcoal for distinct char and smoke.
