About Farmer's Daughters

Farmer’s Daughters roots every plate in the pastures and coast of Gippsland—a clean break from standard CBD dining rooms. Downstairs, the deli handles casual catchups over share plates and warm slabs of house soda bread with cultured butter; tables routinely order a second basket before the mains land. Upstairs shifts to an open hearth over wood embers, searing cuts of Bass Strait beef served with mountain pepper alongside the day's coastal catch. Floor staff trace the provenance of every pour down to the grower, relaxed and clued-in. Stools along the pass put you right in front of the flame.

  • Gippsland Terroir on the Fire: Wood-fire cooking spotlights regional Victorian producers, from Bass Strait beef to Lakes Entrance seafood.
  • Signature Soda Bread: A house-baked, dense loaf served warm with cultured regional butter—a staple guests frequently double down on.
  • Front-Row Pass Dining: Counter seating puts solo diners and duos right in front of the kitchen team and wood-fired hearth.
  • Provenance Storytelling & Sips: Service staff pair courses with regional Victorian bottles while sharing the agricultural origins of every dish.

  • Flexible Multi-Tiered Spaces

A distinct multi-level layout allows diners to choose between casual à la carte sharing in the ground-floor deli or structured multi-course dining upstairs.

stayed at the Deli because we wanted freedom to choose ala carte vs the second floor that requires getting a tasting menu.

  • Signature House Soda Bread

The kitchen's dense, freshly baked Irish-style soda bread paired with farm-cultured butter serves as a signature anchor across every dining format.

The soda bread doesn’t look like much, but it was absolutely delicious and the butter alone was good enough to eat by itself.
