About Three Elephants & Co.

Three Elephants & Co. serves unapologetic Sri Lankan comfort food in St Kilda without the cloying sweetness common elsewhere. Regulars know Wednesday nights belong to whole mud crab—cracked tableside in rich garlic chilli, chilli butter, or earthy black pepper sauces. Come the weekend, the kitchen turns out freshly swirled appam with lace-thin edges and soft centres, paired alongside punchy coconut sambol and rich black pork curry. Settle into the cosy dining room with a cold Lion beer and tear into warm roti.

  • Wednesday Mud Crab Night: A weekly ritual featuring whole mud crabs cooked in garlic chilli, chilli butter, or black pepper sauce.
  • Weekend Hoppers: Served Friday through Sunday, pairing bowl-shaped pancakes with rich curries and fresh coconut sambol.
  • Homestyle Sri Lankan Staples: Homestyle curries, chicken kothu, and roti prepared with balanced spice blends rather than heavy sweetness.
