  • Intimate communal table dining

A compact layout featuring a shared communal table creates a close-knit, welcoming cafe atmosphere.

Nice cafe with approximately 20 seats or so available. Came for breakfast and a good variety of hot dishes and sandwiches. We had the pulled pork wrap and ham, cheese and tomato sandwich. Some guests we shared the communal table with had the eggs benedict with bacon and spinach, which just by the looks of it, can be highly recommeneded as well.

Before you head over

Practical guidance on finding the cafe, navigating seating, and ordering

  • Find the Entrance on Downie Street

Look for the entrance on Downie Street rather than the Flinders Lane street frontage to avoid mistaking the venue for being closed.

  • Plan Around Limited Seating

With around 20 seats and communal table seating, space can be tight; visit outside peak morning hours if bringing a pram or large bags.

  • Ask for Bread and Protein Swaps

Take advantage of bread and protein customizations, including gluten-free rye, sourdough, and pulled pork for breakfast dishes.
