About Hop Nation Brewing Co.

Tucked down an industrial Footscray alley behind a warehouse roller door, Hop Nation pairs hop-forward pints and barrel-aged stouts with hot square pizza. Cyclists rolling off the nearby veloway and dog-toting regulars pack the concrete taproom for rotating tasting paddles alongside deep-dish slices and fried mozzarella sticks dunked in vodka marinara.

  • Hop-Forward Pours & Deep Stouts: Pours span hazy hop-driven ales to barrel-aged imperial and nitro stouts across rotating tap paddles.
  • Square Pizzas On-Site: Good Pizza serves up pan-fried square pies and deep-dish slices with mozzarella sticks and vodka marinara.
  • Industrial Warehouse Setting: A hidden back-alley warehouse taproom welcoming dogs and cyclists straight off the nearby trails.

  • Specialist Stouts and Barrel-Aged Brews

Hop Nation maintains a dedicated dark beer showcase featuring barrel-aged imperial stouts, nitro pours, and creative pastry stouts.

I stuck with the stouts which do not disappoint with the show stopper being the 10.4% whisky barrel Kalash imperial stout.

Tucked down a secluded industrial alleyway among marine warehouses, entering past the roller door creates an exciting hideaway feel.

When you step inside the roller door you find a beautifully laid out bar with a great warehouse feel.
