Fitzroy’s revived Punters Club nails the classic Melbourne boozer with serious kitchen chops and zero pretension. Locals crowd Brunswick Street for crisp roo or chicken schnitzels, spiced Bloody Marys, and Sunday roast pork paired with Yorkshire pudding. Up top sits an open rooftop courtyard, while the rooms below branch out into a pool room and darts space. On Sunday afternoons, a live New Orleans-style jazz band packs the floor, trading brass lines across tables clinking with fresh craft beers.
