Book NowAbout Rooftop Bar
Seven floors up in Curtin House, this open-air perch delivers skyline views without a shred of dress-code attitude. Melbourne regulars take the lift straight to the top for late arvo drinks, claiming tiered bleacher steps to watch the CBD unwind. The crowd stays loud and pleasantly chaotic—thongs and singlets welcome. Drinks lean crowd-pleasing, from a cold tin of Balter to a house cocktail shaking up pandan, lime, and coconut. When hunger hits, the rooftop burger shack dishes out smash burgers, thin-cut salty fries, and steaming bowls of poutine as the sun drops behind the towers.
- Prime Skyline Views: Unobstructed city views across the CBD towers, especially lively as the afternoon light shifts to sunset.
- Bleacher-Style Seating: Tiered bleachers and stair seating foster a casual, communal crowd without table reservations or dress codes.
- Rooftop Burger Shack: A dedicated counter serving cheeseburgers, crispy thin fries, and poutine directly on the roof deck.
- Cocktails & Tins: Cold craft tins like Balter alongside cocktails infused with pandan, lime, and coconut.

There was a special for $22 for a Cheeseburger/Mushroom Burger, some frieds and a can of Balter. We got two and it was outstanding.

Before you head over
Practical advice on timing, seating, and atmosphere for your visit to Curtin House
Beat the Peak Rush
The rooftop fills up quickly from 4 PM onwards and during Friday post-work drinks. Drop by earlier in the afternoon or during weekday work hours to secure a spot before peak crowds arrive.
Look to the Bleacher Seating
Traditional tables get claimed fast during busy hours, but tiered bleacher and stair-style seating offers plenty of casual open-air spots to sit, sip, and people-watch.
Embrace the Casual Dress Code
Unlike traditional upscale rooftop lounges with strict dress codes, this space welcomes completely casual attire like thongs and singlets, making it ideal for relaxed drop-ins.
