Why Choose Tom Toon
Why Abbotsford locals and Thai food enthusiasts choose Tom Toon for regional Isan staples and relaxed group dining.
Regional Isan and Street-Style Specialties
The kitchen serves genuine Northeastern Thai dishes with uncompromised traditional seasoning, including fermented Pla Ra som tum salads, Kaeng Om herbal curries, and house-made Isan sausages.
Casual restaurant with a unique range of traditional dishes from the Northeastern region of Thailand- Isan.
K ༘ Uncompromised Heat and Authentic Street Flavors
Dishes deliver bold, authentic spice levels and deep umami broths that recreate the distinct flavors of street vendors across Thailand.
What I loved most is that the food here doesn’t feel like typical restaurant-style Thai, it genuinely tastes like what you’d get from a street vendor in Thailand.
Vahid Shahani Thoughtful and Generous Hospitality
Generous hospitality is standard practice, with dining groups frequently surprised by complimentary desserts and attentive care from the floor staff.
The staff were super warm and friendly, and the food was delicious. They also kindly gave us two complimentary desserts, which was such a nice surprise.
Maxine Caring and Attentive Table Service
Staff treat guests like family, going out of their way to provide extra takeaway rice and secure packaging so leftovers stay fresh.
When we asked for takeaway containers, they were generous enough to give us some extra rice in small containers to takeaway with our left over curry.
Prashanth Shrinivasan Communal Dining with a BYO Policy
Substantial sharing portions and an accommodating BYO policy make the dining room a reliable destination for group feasts with friends.
Portions are for sharing so go with friends and have an absolute great experience and it’s BYO!
Lorena Ruiz Hidden Rear Seating for Gatherings
While the street-facing shopfront appears cozy, a spacious back dining hall easily hosts large group gatherings and celebration dinners without feeling rushed.
The restaurant itself is quite small, but there is additional seating available at the back, making it more spacious than it first appears.
