About Twang Brewing

Forget cavernous industrial taprooms—Twang Brewing keeps craft beer unpretentious on a quiet North Melbourne street. Head past the doorway and you will usually find owner Matt behind the taps, ready to unpack grain bills and hop profiles. Pours rotate week to week, jumping from punchy East Coast double IPAs to small-batch curiosities like chilli beer or a green leaf pale ale. Kids settle in by the space heater with board games, dogs get water bowls and blankets, and patrons grab tables out front or in the back garden. There is no kitchen here. Instead, regulars order crisp pizzas straight from the shop next door, delivered hot to your table between pints.

  • Small-Batch & Experimental Taps: Owner Matt pours weekly rotating taps, from East and West Coast double IPAs to experimental green leaf pale ales and chilli beers.
  • Pizzas Delivered to Table: Guests can order pizzas and dishes from neighbouring eateries straight to indoor, curbside, or back courtyard tables.
  • Dog- and Family-Friendly Setup: Offers board games for kids alongside dog blankets, water bowls, and treats in a mellow neighbourhood space.
  • Brewer-Run Hospitality: Owner Matt pours pints directly and talks beer styles and brew craft with regulars and visitors alike.
