Just past Daylesford on the Midland Highway, this historic roadhouse trades standard counter meals for scratch-made gastropub cooking. Patrons come off the road for tender braised ox cheek and thick-cut Greenhills porterhouse roasts served alongside Yorkshire pudding and rich gravy. Blackboard specials rotate constantly, pairing house-made sauces and crisp parmas with working hearth fires indoors or an airy beer garden out back. Evenings wind down over generous slices of sticky date pudding beside the taproom fireplace.
