About Totti's Lorne

Sun-drenched coastal dining meets classic trattoria energy right along the Lorne foreshore. Tables fill quickly with road-trippers and milestone celebrations plotting a feast built around the open wood-fired oven. Guests tear into blistered, freshly puffed bread paired with creamy burrata, prosciutto, and rich chicken liver parfait before passing bowls of reginette prawn alla vodka or bucatini with vongole across the table. Meals finish over a Bellini Spritz and scoops from a generously sized, almond-topped tiramisu.

  • Puffed Wood-Fired Bread: Blistered, wood-fired bread baked on display anchors a communal spread of burrata, crudo, and house antipasti.
  • Vibrant Pasta Plates: Bowls of reginette prawn alla vodka and bucatini with vongole anchor generous shared courses.
  • Almond-Topped Tiramisu: A massive, nutty tiramisu built for passing around the entire table.

  • Built for Communal Table Feasts

The kitchen crafts antipasti, cured meats, and fresh pasta specifically proportioned across generous plates intended for whole-table communal dining.

We had a big group of 8 and the section we were seated in was almost full for a Thursday so best to make a reservation ahead of time. We ordered quite a few dishes for the table to share.

Before you head over

Practical advice on timing, ordering portions, and booking ahead for your visit

  • Book Ahead and Plan for Busy Stretches

The dining room fills quickly even on weekdays, and peak winter or weekend services can see waits of around an hour for starters. Secure an advance table reservation—especially when requesting foreshore window views or visiting with larger groups.

  • Bring a Group to Navigate the Sharing Format

Dishes and antipasti portions are built specifically for communal dining rather than single servings. Ordering solo or in small pairs requires planning, as whole portions can quickly exceed what one person can comfortably eat.

  • Share Desserts and Ask Early for Specials

Dessert servings are generous and richly accented with nut and almond toppings. A single order of tiramisu is ample for sharing across multiple diners, while asking the kitchen for recommendations helps secure popular limited-batch antipasti before they sell out.
