About Bistro La Provence

Bistro La Provence brings old-school French dining to Brighton, set within the quiet rooms of an intimate period home opposite the yacht club. Unhurried candlelight, crackling fireplaces, and low acoustic hum set an easy pace for birthdays and date nights. Diners start with crusty bread imported directly from France before digging into rich beef cheek bourguignon or crisp duck leg confit in orange sauce. When the French-speaking head chef steps out of the kitchen to greet tables, it feels less like a formal restaurant and more like dinner at an old friend's salon. Dessert arrives tableside with crêpes Suzette set ablaze in Grand Marnier.

  • Tranquil Period Home Setting: Housed in a tranquil period home with working fireplaces, offering a quiet room where conversation never competes with background noise.
  • Classic Provençal Repertoire: Tables start with crusty French bread flown in from France, alongside confit duck leg, rich escargots, and beef cheek bourguignon.
  • Tableside Chef Hospitality: The French-speaking head chef routinely greets guests at their tables, paired with smooth, attentive floor service.
