About Elio’s Place

Tucked off Flinders Lane, this European bistro cuts through CBD clatter with easy charm and zero attitude. Past the front bar, the dining room leans into an unhurried *sprezzatura*—softened acoustics where table talk never competes with background noise, backed by staff who let you exhale. Regulars make a beeline for duck liver parfait cut with pickled radicchio, or the pink-centered cheeseburger served over warm peppercorn sauce. Later on, post-show tables unwind over pours of orange wine and cold house martinis.

  • Inventive Bistro Staples: From a crumbed rockling burger with tartare to a thick cheeseburger served halved over warm peppercorn sauce.
  • Acoustic Comfort & Dual Layout: An active front bar gives way to a dining room softened against harsh clatter so tables converse at regular volume.
  • BYO Sundays: Guests can bring one bottle of wine per person with zero corkage alongside a shared Sunday set menu.

Essential guidance on reservations, acoustics, and Sunday cellar pairings—book your table ahead to secure the full bistro experience.

  • Reserve Ahead for Dining Room Seating

The layout splits between a front bar and an intimate dining room. While walk-ins occasionally secure tables, booking ahead is strongly recommended for dinner, especially when dining before or after city shows and arena events.

  • Take Advantage of BYO Sundays

Sundays feature a dedicated BYO offering that allows guests to bring one bottle of wine per person with zero corkage alongside the generous set menu, making it ideal for pairing special bottles with bistro classics.
