About Hoa Nghiem Vegie Hut

Tucked beside a Buddhist temple along Springvale Road, this dining hall dishes up generous bowls of plant-based Vietnamese noodle soups. The vibe is easygoing and communal—pour a cup from the self-serve hot tea station while taking in the high-ceilinged room. Regulars head straight for the spicy bún bò Huế and salt and pepper eggplant, crisp on the edges and soft inside, before grabbing vegan nuoc mam and packaged mock meats from the pantry counter on the way out.

  • Temple Grounds Setting: Set on the grounds of a Buddhist temple with a relaxed dining hall atmosphere and dedicated on-site parking.
  • Hearty Plant-Based Vietnamese: Serves generous Vietnamese plant-based noodle soups alongside broken rice and specialty mock meat dishes.
  • Take-Home Pantry & Market: Features an on-site retail counter stocked with packaged vegan mock meats and Vietnamese pantry staples.

  • Integrated Retail Vegan Pantry

A dedicated counter offers plant-based packaged items, mock meats, and house-made specialties to take home for everyday dining.

They also have some pantry items for sale so I bought vegan fish sauce and vegan nuoc mam (chili fish sauce).

  • Support for Temple & Community

Diners appreciate that dining here supports a meaningful spiritual space and tight-knit community rather than a typical commercial restaurant.
