About Lost Cat

Lost Cat delivers Melbourne-standard wood-fired cooking and refined cocktails along Warrnambool’s central Liebig Street strip. Slip upstairs first for an aperitif—the lounge bar shakes up a crisp limoncello spritz before dinner calls. Downstairs, the compact menu lets quality regional produce do the talking. Tables fill quickly with chargrilled focaccia, snapper crudo, and spicy garlic mussels on 'nduja toast. The centrepiece is the scotch fillet, cooked medium-rare over wood embers and finished with melting umami butter, paired with grilled cabbage in cashew sauce. A scoop of smoky brown butter ice cream closes out the night.

  • Upstairs Cocktail Lounge: Upstairs lounge shakes aperitifs and cocktails before diners head down to the main dining room.
  • Wood-Fired Fare: Compact, seasonal dishes centred around wood-fired mains, tender scotch fillet, and umami butter.
