Why Choose Mint and Jam

Why travelers and locals choose Mint and Jam for specialty coffee, nourishing meals, and relaxed hospitality in Yea.

  • Metropolitan-Calibre ONA Specialty Coffee

Mint and Jam sources specialty beans from ONA, including featured roasts like Raspberry Candy, pulling shots that rival top metropolitan specialty espresso bars.

The coffee (ONA Raspberry Candy) was prepared as good as, if not better than what I’ve had at ONA Canberra/Melbourne

  • Thoughtful Coeliac and Dietary Care

The kitchen caters carefully to coeliac and diverse dietary needs with dedicated care, offering gluten-free, dairy-free, and halal choices without sacrificing flavor.

Heaps of gluten free options. I had the GF bacon & egg sandwich with hashbrown. Staff asked if for coeliac too for extra care.

  • The Ideal Alpine & Country Road-Trip Pitstop

Situated right on High Street in Yea, the cafe provides the perfect midway recharge point for travelers driving towards Jamieson, Mount Buller, or interstate.

Hubby and I had a pitstop in Yea on the way to Jamieson and the staff were friendly and relaxed.

  • Authentic Vietnamese and Asian-Inspired Fare

Beyond traditional cafe fare, travelers can refuel with authentic Southeast Asian specialties, from tender braised pork belly bao to warm pho and fresh Vietnamese noodle salads.

The pork bao is probably the best I had in Australia. And that’s coming from a Taiwanese guy (the country who invented this dish).

  • Sheltered Rear Garden Courtyard

Tucked behind the cafe is a peaceful, sheltered garden terrace where guests can dine outdoors away from highway traffic noise.

Courtyard at the back was sheltered and pretty with autumn colours today
